Cry windows stop error

my computer started getting slower about a week ago. there's a 5-10 second delay between clicking on a program and any window opening. i checked what processes were running, and disabled the ones that don't need to be started at startup, but that didn't help. i've run antivirus, adware and spyware checks. i've started getting the blue screen of death, with this error message:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

STOP: 0X000000D1 (0XE2193000, 0X00000002, 0X00000000, 0XF3F56E85)

i tried to restore my computer, but it doesn't have any restore points. the windows stop error started a few days ago, and have been getting more frequent, but each time they appear the computer starts successfully the next try.

Re: windows stop error

These are typically hardware or driver related.

Check the Windows Event Viewer and see if Windows is logging any errors. You may also want to open Task Manager and watch cpu usage and the process viewer for any high usage during the "slowness".

Hmmm ... I haven't looked at the minidump ... never seen one before ... but these two items look like
nvidia ata bus
nvidia raid
I suspect your mobo is using nvidia chipsets and the raid and ata (both for your drives) does not have the appropriate drivers, or maybe is developing a fault. Just a guess, but I would be starting there.
