winlogon.exe crashes, BDOS

hello!
im new here and this is my very first post, so sorry in advance if i break any rules by posing here, i hope im not.

i get the following error on the BSOD:

The windows logon process terminated unexpectantly with a status of 0x0000005 (0x00000000 0x00000000) The system has been shut down.
i have to restart the machine and i get a windows error reporting service box. ive run a full system scan with kaspersky internet security and it found nothing, i have windows xp sp3 installed with all the updates [some updates are being installed]
