[SOLVED] Cannot run regedit or regedt32

Cannot access regedit from the run line.

Try a volume repair under the local disk C:\
When that is done see if you still cannot run it.

Will still try and help if that does not work.

Nathan: not familiar with volume repair?
TriggerFinger: I can run msconfig, but not cmd or regedit. There is no error, however when i check the application event log i get this error:Event Type: Information

Before I move this to Security Forums, run SUPERAntiSpyware or MalwareBytes. Also run NOD32 online scan. Whatever the scan results are, run SFC /SCANNOW in command prompt (try in safe mode).

Post back what happens.

After the NOD32 online scans, did it show you a list of what it found and (if ever) what it removed?

Can you run CMD or regedit now?

Just completed running the real NOD32 Scan, it found/fixed 6 issues. I can now run regedit and cmd from the run line.
