Can't Save As Jpeg

Help. I recently noticed that I can no longer save a picture as jpeg, only bmp. I have visited the MS site, and have emptied the cache, emptied the Temp download file, change the "Do not save encrypted... to hard disk", as they suggested, deleted all the damaged and unknown files from the download files, etc. all as directed, and still .. no luck. Please help... what can I do to restore the option to save a file in jpeg format?

Try to go into the Control Panel ---> open Folder Options ---> click the File Types tab ---> look for entires for JPE, JPEG, and JPG. Are they all there?

I can't believe it. I visited the link, and tried every one of the suggestions, including running the "run command, and running the suggested dll's. the thumbvw.dll could not be found, and the shdoc401.dll could not be found. But everything else ran, and STILL, only .bmp showed in the save as window. This is very frustrating....

Solved

Thanks CraziJoe, and Touch... I found the solution to my lack of Jpeg save as problem. I heard of a cache cleaner called "ccleaner". I downloaded it from www.ccleaner.com, and lo and behold, after running it, my right click menu option of "save as" now has jpeg as well as bmp options. Yeah!!!
:3-laugh1:

Now if I could only find out why my system sometimes does not turn on my USB hubs when it boots...
