Adding information to a Balloon Tip?

When hovering my mouse over C: (or any drive) there is this balloon that shows the Free Space and Total Size. But if I want to know the Used Space size, I have to mentally do the math or click the properties and go to the pie. Above the pie it will give the number. Is there anyway to tweak that balloon to show the Used Space, just like it does the other two?

It's not a big deal. Just an annoyance. It would be nice to see the Used Space listed in the balloon too.

Can it be done?

Thanks.

Re: Adding information to a Balloon Tip?

Use the following link to download a Sourceforge projrect which installs vista drive icon software. It shows u the amount of usage and free space even without placing your mouse over the drive

http://drvicon.sourceforge.net/

Cheers

Re: Adding information to a Balloon Tip?

Thanks, but that's not exactly what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something that will also show the Used Space in numbers, just like it shows in the Free Space and Disk Size in the Tool Tip. Like I said, it's not a big deal, but it would be handy for me when I'm getting ready to make a Ghost Image. So far I'm able to keep the Image to 1 DVD, by cleaning out my drive (old files, temp files, extra System Restore points, etc.) before doing it. Now, I'm always having to go back to the properties to see how far down I've down gotten.

(After more Google searching, I've found out Tool Tips, rather than Balloon Tips, is probably the correct term for it.)

Those are nice icons though. If I can figure a way to get a Tool Tip to show what I want, I might put it back on.

Re: Add information to a Balloon Tip?

Just wanted to say thanks for the help. I didn't manage to figure out a way to fix/create my own script...no surprise there. lol!

But in my Google travels I found this!

http://www.coopware.in2.info/_hdqm.htm

It's going to work out quite nicely for me. I've edited the .ini and taken out those "help" messages since I didn't need those. Also changed the path to my C: drive.

It doesn't install, which I really like. And I can leave it in my systray. This is all I have left in the .ini file so it doesn't bother me popping up with "real time" monitoring every few seconds.

So again, thanks.
