Compaq CQ50-210US F11 not working after downgrade
I recently downgraded to Windows XP, but I left the original partition from Vista because I thought I could hit F11 and recover back to Vista when I wanted to. I tried to do it today and when I hit F11 it does not prompt me to do anything, (i've done this while using Vista before and it worked flawlessly) can anyone help please?
Thanks, Dennis Continuation of my other thread since I've decided to go back to Vista, http://www.techsupportforum.com/micr...rivers-xp.html |

Re: Compaq CQ50-210US F11 not working after downgrade
You could try to use a retail vista CD to repair the boot sectors that were overwritten when you isntalled XP (boot on the vista CD and choose repair, if needed use startup repair at the "system recovery options" screen). But as blah789 said in the other thread your best bet is to contact Compaq to get the recovery disks.
