acrobat update runs when I click any folder
Adobe Acrobat Installer runs every time I click on a folder on my desktop or any of the folder links on the start menu.
What is going on? It's freaking annoying....! I have run any number of anti spyware and run NOD32 scan as well as Panda online scan. Any ideas please!??? It sounds like for some reason all of your shortcuts on your desktop have now been aimed to the adobe updater. Not sure why. If these are the only symptoms, and your sure there are no viruses, then simply delete the shortcuts, and make new ones.

 I think you might have to run the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility Download is down the page a bit Run the program and remove the entry ONLY for Adobe Acrobat. If you use this utility to remove the Windows Installer configuration information for Adobe and you plan to reinstall the program, you should reinstall it in the same folder where you originally installed it. This prevents duplication of files on your hard disk. .

 If you need a PDF Reader get yourself Foxit Compared to Adobe it is tiny, does all you will need, and will not cause problems like Adobe. Download the free version .
