My usb ports are not identified by my computer

I downloaded Spybot Search and Destroy as well as Adaware yesterday. My system began auto shutoff/restart. Eventually I was able to reboot in Safe mode, remove Spybot, and it restarted with "recovered from serious error" message. It works now, but the system will not identify the existance of my USB ports. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi renegade55, and welcome to TSF.

1) When you update Spybot look for something that says, "F/P fixes, Minor updates to avoid false positives." Make sure you tick the box.

2) Ad Aware can be configured to select/deselect programs etc to be scanned. Just deselect Spybot.

Apart from these two points, my research shows that there isn't really a conflict issue with these programs.

Any more problems, please post back.
