Hi,
Toshiba Laptop A215-S5837 http://explore.toshiba.com/laptops/s...200/A215-S5837 Want to downgrade to XP, so I did, but I cant find Audio driver for XP. I have been searching via google for the past 6 hours. I installed 8 different drivers, it installs but my audio still don't work. I guess I always get wrong driver. Toshiba website has only drivers for VISTA. And I tried them too. Please help. Thanks in advance. |

Re: XP Drivers needed.
You may be able to get at least the basic sound working with the Realtek chipset drivers. Available for download from here. You will need to accept their disclaimer and select from the menu on the left to access the drivers. I would suggest trying the generic AC97 drivers on offer there. As you already found out Toshiba is useless for XP drivers (because the machine was built and designed for Vista).
As and aside - why do you want to ditch Vista? The specs of the machine are ideal for running Vista.

Re: XP Drivers needed.
Hello Knigh7 and welcome to TSF...
Some audio drivers requires UAA audio driver bus or after you install audio driver you must restart PC and then go to Device Manager and find 'PCI Bus' component... Just right-click on it and go 'Update Driver'... Go next and drivers will be installed... Restart laptop and I hope you will get your sound...
