Installing xp

I was wondering if it is possible to install windows xp on a laptop using a USB Cd drive.(given that it has a port)

If it accepted booting then it will work, Just install the USB Drive and go to the BIOS and make it first boot and enter the windows XP CD and try if it works in boot it will work ...
