Re: Reinstalled XP: Wireless Gone

Well, here's one more wireless driver, although I'm surprised that none of these drivers seem to be working. I'm actually a little stumped. So hopefully someone else comes in here and helps.

Re: Reinstalled XP: Wireless Gone

That driver didn't work either. I don't think the drivers are the problem. Could it perhaps be where the drivers are installed. It automatically installs in C:/DRIVERS; is this normal?

Re: Reinstalled XP: Wireless Gone

Wait! I fixed it! I'm so excited, lol. It's taken way too long.

Here's what I did:

I went to C:/DRIVERS and noticed that the only drivers there were the ones I installed. I opened the folder of the wireless driver and noticed a "Driver Package Installer". I clicked it, and it worked. Obviously, the problem was that the drivers weren't really installing but were being extracted into folders.

Coolfreak, I can't thank you enough for your help. Without your drivers, I would never have stumbled onto this. Thank you! :)

How do I change my thread title to 'Resolved'?

Re: Reinstalled XP: Wireless Gone

Ah, I didn't realize that they weren't being installed. That would do it

Actually, you can change the title to 'SOLVED'

Anyways, to do that, simply click the Thread Tools near the top of the page

I'm glad to see everything worked out!

Come back soon,
