[SOLVED] My computer turns on but not monitor
Ok say a few days ago i was moving my computer and then it later fell over. now i've plugged it back in and am having problems. the computer turns on but the monitor acts like its on standby (light on front flashes like its on standby) could something have come loose. Please help not real smart about computers

ok well im kinda waitin for somebody to do that for me cause I have no idea what that is or what it looks like.... i was updating Word stuff, adobe, itunes, and the automatic updates

Its a circuit board usually about 2 or 3 inches wide and about 4 to 5 inches long. It sometimes has a fan attached or some sort of cooling system like metal prongs. It sits diresctly bedind where you plug in yor monitor.
If you open the case make sure power is of and touch the case before circuits to avoid static. |

Hi, You have to touch a bare metal part of the casing to discharge any static from your body as you could do damage if you touch anything inside. Also don't walk around on a carpet or anything while you are doing it, otherwise touch the case again. As long as you follow these instructions its perfectly safe.
