my computer doesn't recognize my disc

drive WHAT SHOULD I DO !

Hi marie022487 and welcome to TSF !

Well you should start by giving us more informations. Read the 4th message in the annoucements.

Give us the brand and model of the computer. If it's a custom build then what's the brand and model of the motherboard and of the disc drive.

What kind of drive is it ? hard drive, CD drive, DVD drive ? SATA, IDE ?

When did the problem start ? What's the last thing you did before the problem started ?

Enter the BIOS at startup (repeatedly press del or look for some "press xx to enter setup" message) and check whether the drive is recognized correctly there.

Have you opened the computer to check the cables ? Have you tried the drive in another computer ? Have you tried another drive in your computer ?

Which disc drive is not being recognized? . . You need to give more information to get good help.
