System Failed CPU Test

Didnt know where to post this, but i was getting this voice that said "System Failed CPU Test" untill i restarted my computer. What was the problem

Hi doughboy256 !

Either the CPU fan isn't hooked to the right place or it was not working at all. If the problem stopped all of a sudden it may mean some dust bunny or loose cable was blocking the fan. Or the fan could be dying. Open the computer case and clean all dust on fans and heatsinks. Refer to this guide from bleepingcomputer if it's very dusty : http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tuto...torial118.html. Then restart the computer and check that all the fans are spinning.

Enter the BIOS at startup (repeatedly press del or look for some "press xx to enter setup" message), search for the hardware monitor screen and check your temps, voltages and fan speeds.

What's the brand and model of your computer? If it's a custom build then check the "posting system specs" link in my sig.

I'll move you to the motherboard support section since this problem is not software related.
