OS: win xp home service pack 2

win xp home restarts again and again

My windows xp home service pack 2 was giving me problems due to AOL Parental Controls that I had to install before for my kids.

Therefore, I decided to do a complete reinstallation my windows xp home using the installation disks. I did that just fine.
Now, here's the problem: The computer restarts itself again and again from the "start windows normally, safe boot, safe boot with command prompt, screen" It keeps on doing this no matter which of the options I select.
What can I do?
I did not know what to do, so I put in the installation disk again and did a "R" repair and the same problem continues.
What do I do now?
Please advice.

Re: win xp home restarts again and again

Reboot with the XP CD. When booting, hit F12 to boot from disc.

Delete the Partitions and create a new partition. This is self explanatory on the menu.

Reinstall Windows fresh using the regular method, not (Quick) Format.

After that you should be fine. It sounds like you had a bad reformat the first time.

Re: win xp home restarts again and again

Thank You, I'll try that next.

What I did was reinstall again and now my screen is a centered square and the windows xp home did load, but its all blury (kinda like oil in water centered box of screen only). I will delete the partions as you had suggested, but what size should the partions be? Also FAT or NTFS? Maybe a step by step Answers would help me out, if you please. thank you.
