downloading problem in windows xp

Hi,
i am having a strange problem .
problem is that when i download some files of size of about 50mb or more
while downloading a message comes saying" Windows Delayed write failed . this mey be a problem with your hardware. "

my drive in which i am downloading have 10 gb of free space & i am downloading a 100 mb file .

this happens when i try downloading to download something in my f: drive specifically .

Does the computer run fine at all? Usually this message means a hard-drive is failing and needs to be replaced. I also recommend performing a checkdisk just like the second post said.

You can also test the hard drive and see if it is going bad by downloading the diagnostics utility from the manufacturer's website of the HD. Put the program onto a CD, boot the computer to it, and then test the HD for any errors.

If the program detects errors then I recommend backing up all of the info on the HD.
