[SOLVED] Black screen when switching user
Hello,
When I try, on Windows XP, to switch user (between 2 administrator accounts) going through run – close session – switch account (or something like this, my OS is not in English), I get a black screen from which I cannot exit without starting again my computer. If I close the first session before opening the second one, it’s OK. This problem came after installing SP3, but I cannot restore because the system tells me nothing has been changed. Thank you for your help, fuzzsytone |

![]() You can only have one Administrator Account opened at any given time with XP. Closing off the first Administrator Account Session, and starting the second one is quite correct, otherwise the system will not function correctly. Kind Regards,

Re: Black screen when switching user
fuzzystone,
When this happens, try pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL then Hit Enter. If this doesn't work - you may have some power-saving feature enabled in your XP Control Panel or XP Screen Saver -or- your monitor's sync settings are incorrect. Check out: http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1261783 http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/...2750&SiteID=17 Hope this helps. - John

Re: Black screen when switching user
Hello Dave,
It is was possible to have 2 administrator accounts open at the same time on my system before this bug. I got everything set by disinstalling SP3. Thanks. Thanks to John, too. G'day. fuzzystone |
