Hello and Welcome to TSF

Do you need to install the SATA drivers ? You need to press F6 to Install a Third Party Driver

Re: No Harddisk drive found while installing XP

You need to get into your bios and change the settings. More then likely it's set for another drive at boot up. While in bios search for boot sequence and where it says 1st boot select your CD rom to boot first.

Re: No Harddisk drive found while installing XP

after pushung F6 for install a third party the new screen says: "Setup could not determine the type of one or more mass storage devices installed in your system, or you have chosen to manually specify an adapter. Currently, setup will load support for following mass storage devices: and below i got 2 choices:

First
* To specify additional SCSI adapters, CD-Rom drives, pr special disk controllers for use with dindows, including those for which you have a device support disk from a mass storage device manufacturer, press S.

Second:
If you do not have any device support disks from a mass storage device manufacturer, or do not want to specify additional mass storage devices for use with Windows, press ENTER

After preshing S to specify it says: "Setup could not find a floppy drive on your machine to load OEM drivers from a flobby disk"

And in my bios the system can find the hard disk driver, so its weird that windows setup cant.

Re: No Harddisk drive found while installing XP

Did you putthe SATA drivers on a floppy disc?

Some BIOS allow an Alternate method for SATA . . Go into the bios and check the "Sata Operation" setting, change it to "Raid Autodetect/ATA if it is not already. Now try to install XP
