Exclamation XP Repair Problem

Required Information by Forum Rules:
Microsoft Windows XP Professional with SP2
I had just reinstalled Windows about 2 weeks ago. Nothing went wrong durring installation.
I Installed all Mobo drivers and videocard drivers as well as a few programs the day I installed windows, which was 2 weeks ago. I hadn't installed any new hardware or software, recently, before this problem occured.
My computer runs McAfee Antivirus scans once a week and found no problems there.
I have not run any anti-spyware scans since I've reinstalled XP.

Initial Problem:
I came across a problem where my computer would reboot in the middle of booting up, pretty much just loop around over and over. It would reboot itself at the point Right before it would show the black screen with "Windows XP" written on it and the scrolling bar.

Possible Couse?:
This all happened after I had changed my virtual memory paging size and rebooted. I changed the initial size from 2000MB to 2500MB (I have plenty of hard drive space to spare and felt it would be OK).

My Troubleshooting:
I was able to boot up on Safe Mode. I did a lot of research on what to do and found that if I "Disable Auto Restart on System Failure," I could get a blue screen that would give me a hint at what I needed to do. It spat an error code out which I wrote down, but do not have with me at the moment (I will supply once I get back home). I found (by microsofts help and support site) that I had a corrupt system file and my problem could be fixed easily by "Repairing" Windows with my Windows XP CD. I go through the steps to Repair and it seems to be working fine. The repair finishes and it reboots my computer. I now have to complete the repair by continuing to boot windows normally. So now my problem is below.

Current Problem:
I get stopped by the blue screen that told me what my problem was (The thing i get after disabling auto system restart). So then I think, "All I need to do is enable auto restart on system failure so I can get past that screen. So I go into Safe Mode (which is how i disabled it) and i get confronted with an error saying "Windows XP Setup Cannot Run Under Safemode. Click OK to Restart Windows." So now I'm stuck in a loop.

I've searced all over the internet for a fix, but no ones situation is quite like mine. I've found fixes, but all leave out part of what is keeping me from fixing it.

Questions:
Do you guys know of any command I can type the XP CD recovery console that can enable auto restart on system failure? None of the commands I've tried so far help. I felt the closest i got to it was with the "enable" command, but i don't know the "servicename" of the auto restart on system failure, or if that is even relevant. Is there maybe a way to set all system defaults in DOS/recovery console?

I could just reinstall Windows again and this would all go away. I just got all my settings the way I like and I would rather troubleshoot first than reinstall Windows again.

Any help would be Very Appreciated!
(This is my first post so let me know if I forgot something!)

Re: XP Repair Problem

bump!

The error code previously mentioned is...
STOP: 0x0000000A (0xPA7CE2DF, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804D9092)
Even though I feel the error code isn't important at this time with my current problem, I felt I should still include it and some of you may like to have it, so here it is just so you all feel better.

Any advice??
Because, I'm getting nowhere pretty fast with my own ideas.

I guess I may just reinstall Windows again, I just wanted to try to troubleshoot before reinstalling..
Microsoft should have had some "Cancel Repair" function of some sort or even some way to change that "Restart on System Failure" in the recovery console. Eh..

Re: XP Repair Problem

Just reinstalled Windows, so no more need to worry about my situation.

However, if anyone still has a suggestions, it may help a user later in the future that may have the same problem, if they feel inclined to use the "Search" feature.
