Can't get past safe mode login screen
I was following the directions I found in another area of this board to get rid of the xlime offeroptimizer problem. I took the following steps:
Enabled hidden files and folders Turned off system restore I then went to reboot into safe mode, but instead of using the F8 method, I went to start>run>typed in msconfig> checked "/safeboot" Now when I try to start my computer, I get the startup screen for safemode. I have always logged on with ctrl/alt/delete and my password. However, now the computer doesn't recognize my password, and I am effectively locked out of my computer all together as I can't get past this screen. Please help! Thanks! Mitchgirl |
