Uninstall Peachtree Accounting software
When trying to uninstall Peachtree Complete Accounting 2003 from the Windows XP Professional "Add and Remove Programs" feature in Control Panel, the process begins with Uninstall Shield. I then receive a message "Unable to locate the installation log file 'C:\PeachW\DeisPT.isu'. Uninstallation will not continue." I never use this program anymore and it takes up a lot of hard drive space. How do I uninstall it?

Re: Uninstall Peachtree Accounting software
Hello again MurphyJohnP!
Quote:
* You delete the directory containing the program and the data * You download this program: - Regseeker (direct download link) * Unzip and run the program, * The first run search for "Peachtree" without quotes. * Select all that it finds (Ctrl+A) * Press the [Del]-key and confirm. * The second run search for "Accounting" * Select all that it finds (Ctrl+A) [If linked to 'Peachtree'] * Press the [Del]-key and confirm. [If linked to 'Peachtree'] I call this a "partial uninstall", because files installed in the System32 directory are not deleted this way. An attempt to get this achieved will be the next step, after you reported back on the above. |
