Turn A .iso into a .exe

Hey guys.. Do you know of any programs that allow you to turn a .iso into a .exe ? Instead of having to mount the .iso you can just open the exe

Re: Turn A .iso into a .exe

No way. Two completely different animals.

.ISO is a storage method, like .RAR. An image file.

Executables are just that. They actually do things.

Now, maybe you want a self-extracting .ISO, where you double-click it and it unpacks itself ?

Maybe the question could be rephrased.

Is there a way to "Autorun" an .ISO by double-clicking it so that it will "self-mount" and then run.

Answer:

YES, using Daemon Tools and associating the .ISO extenstion to Daemon, double clicking them will (at least) cause them to Auto Run. Think they self-mount, too. Or maybe DT asks you first.

Point is, it depends on the software you are using. What kind of ISO's are we talking about here, and what do you want to do with them ?

Not as far as I'm aware though I think you could incorporate an autorun file to the image which can start the application or open the root contents when its mounted.

This makes no sense to me. .ISO's are image files. .EXE's are executables.

Executables DO things. .ISO's don't, they are just data that can be mounted.

You want to "group" them (what exactly does this mean...) and convert them to .EXE's in order to get them to DO what, exactly ?

Do you mean a self-extracting compressed file, like .RAR or .ZIP that opens itself and dumps the data uncompressed ?
