Ok, I'm not exactly sure where to put those so sorry if I posted in the wrong place...
A few days ago I came across the error "services and controller app has encountered a problem" Then no matter what I push it leads to the 60 second countdown, and I've read up on this multiple times from multiple places... I guess it was once a problem with the blaster/sasser worm or whatever?? Anyways I have tried all those solutions to that, tried sasser removal programs and all that. And I have tried scanning all in safe mode for something ( I own spysweeper and bitdefender, but also tried spybot, ad-aware, and spyblaster) but nothing came up, everything came up clean! But everytime I start up my pc it appears withing 5-15 minutes. But I also noticed it only does it if I am connected to the internet, if I'm not, I have no problems. Also as far as I know I've always ran a pretty tight ship on my pc and never had too many problems, and always had the latest xp updates... So I'm not sure what else to do, if I should reinstall windows or reformat or whatever? Oh yeah, I also tried the sfc /scannow or whatever the command was too see if I was missing the right files or whatever, but once the scan finished nothing came up so I figured nothing was missing... so any suggestions would be a great help Thanks much -John |

Re: HELP or help with reinstalling
Hi John...Welcome to TSF!
![]() Before you embark upon drastic measures such as, reinstalling Windows®, we have an excellent HJT (HiJackThis) Forum here with highly trained analysts that might be able to help you rid your machine with this "nasty". It sounds like you have a "Tracking Trojan" in your system, or some other malware issue. Having said that I recommend that you go here and read the instructions very carefully and post a log in the HJT Forum so that the Team there can assess your situation. Good Luck with it. ![]() Kind Regards,
