Adware, spyware???? PLEASE HELP

hello, the problem is that on my desktop screen about every few minutes i get a pop up, not a popup lke one in internet explorer but one that comes up called "messenger service" it says " message from FROM to TO on 3/20/2007 7

10am Stop! windows requires immediate attention windows has found 55 ctitical system errors. to fix the errors please do the following:
Download refistry update from : www.registryalert.net
install registry update
run registry updare
reboot computer
failure to act now may lead to system failure!"

I thought it was spyware so download spybot, adaware and a registry cleaner but the problem is still there i also have a firewall popup blocker and virus scanner and i don't have a clue how to stop this. Many thanks tom.

There is a free programme for personal use which may clean your system
look uo adaware.se

registryalert doesn't have anything to do with MS. It's trolling to get you to install it. Then it'll badger you to buy it. I don't know how you get rid of it.
