HELP PLEASE Windows cannot find 'regchk.exe.'

OK I have this problem.

Everytime I start my computer I get this message.

I've done a virus scan using AVG and completed a spy/ad check. All seems to be clean.

When googled the probelm, the suggestion seems to be linked to regcheck.exe which is linked to AnyDVD software. I do not have this AnyDVD software installed.

Can somone help me please.

Did you or anyone on this computer, ever have anydvd installed?
The latest version of this "hacking" progam includes this-
* Fix: Setup program did not delete obsolete RegCheck.exe file from previous installations
Otherwise, I would run the First Steps shown above in red.

The name AnyDVD does sound familuar. But I dont think I have it installed.

What first step are you referering to?

The only DVD software I have is AutoGordianKnot.2.27 and SetupDVDDecrypter_3.5.4. that I used to compress a file down so I can burn it on CD. Ive not used this program for over a year.

Edit:

IF the first steps your refeering to is start>search for regchk. Then I have done this and found no such file on my HD.

Try uninstalling those programs, being that their not being used anyway.

OK Ive read the blof you posted.

Step 1 - removing Uninstall Malware from Windows Add/Remove Program Tab
My Control program is clean, besides Viewpoint Media Player. - Removed that.

Step 2 Running a System Scan
Ran adware - complete and clean

Step 3 - Installing Immediate Protection
Didnt install any I have spybot installed, already ran that, clean and clear.

STEP 4 Update your Operating System
System already updated to lastest patch.

Step 5 - Posting log........
