"windows cannot find C:windows\system32\rundll32.exe"

well i recently ran smitfraud fix and vundo fix and vondubegone and my vertumonde trojan and smitfraud toolbar went away. it also got rid of my rundll32.exe file! i can't acces my comtrol panel or my computer properties. HELP!!!!!

Before doing the below remedy- I would suggest that you do a very through cleaning. Then proceed.

If you have your windows CD- put it in the cd drive. Then go to Start>Run and type in sfc /scannow

This is designed to replace any windows files that may have been deleted. If that does not work- Post back.

Hi Andy128 This user had begun a thread in the HijackThis section, ran some tools and as his symptoms abated, thought he had fixed it.

MyDingo21--the tools you ran to fix your infections were not enough to throughly clean them. I'll have a reply to your issue shortly. We'll continue in your HijckThis thread.
