Sorry if i maybe made a unattractive title. but i have backed up somewhere along the lines of 5,000 pictures from hdd to cd and now the cd's seem to be damaged. the files i removed are deleted from the computer from the recycle bin... now i understand that it is possible to recover these files somehow. it has been about 1 to 1 1/2 months since the delete and i need to be able to recover these pictures for an insurance company. i have read some pages on how to acheive this but none are very informative. does anyone know a way i can recover these files? any tutorials would be awsome, im kinda in a rush as well. i have around an hour until the bell tolls me so any help would be fantastic. also this was on win XP home edition. This seems to have some good reviews (for getting data off the CD's).
i can almost guarantee you won't recover everything fom the hard drive. However, if you need to try (the above doesn't work), then try out Active@ ... I've had good luck with it.

IsoBuster is the best cd recovery program I have used....I haven't had to use it much but every time I have, it's given me 100% success rates.
I second Chevy's opinion on the hard drive data recovery as it has been so long since you deleted the files so the space they were occupying on the drive has been overwritten many times by files you have deleted since. You may find the file names but they will very likely be corrupt.
