Desktop settings not saved

My desktop settings are not being saved. I can turn off auto arrange and arrange the icons to my liking but when I reboot they are arranged on the left of the screen. Same goes for Quick Launch. I can turn it on and it's there but when I reboot it's gone.

Any help would be appreciated. It's driving me nuts.

Hi arat, welcome to TSF...

please try the attached registry tweak as it may help fix the problem. Just unzip it and double click it to merge with your registry then reboot. After you have rebooted, set your desktop and quick launch as you want them to be then reboot again.

Post back if that helps or not...if it doesn't, it may be best to create a new profile.
