nscsrvce.exe not responding

hi, when i shut down my system , i am getting a program not responding message for nscsrvce.exe. i dont think i have changed anything recently that would affect this. any advice would be appreciated. thanks

Contacted symantec and they gave me various unsuccessful solutions before finally telling me it must be another program conflicting with norton.
