My laptop was working fine then it just crashed,
When i loaded the system again i got a error message and nothing else would happen not even in safe mode.

I have lost all my data i then ran a hdd test and it has error fail 7
My laptop is only 3months old hp will need to take take it away to fix it i guess
is there anyway i can get my old files or have they been lost for good?

hard drives fail at the most inoppertune moments
you would have to remove the h/drive to try and it would probably void your warranty
try a knoppix linux disk and see if it sees the files and allows you to send them to a backup disk

This might help with recovery of your files:-

Try running the hardrive manufacturer's diagnostic utility (free download from their website) and see how it checks out.
