windows defender(RESOLVED)

Hi all,

i have a problem uninstalling an old beta version of windows defender.

I have read previous threads in here about it failing to initialize which is what i had but when i went to uninstall it the following message came up:

' the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable and it refuses to let me uninstall it

I did my best at looking into this and it kept saying the following:

'temporary internet files\files\content.ie5\kdif45mn\windowsdefender[1]msi' could not be found

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Try the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility which can be downloaded from here - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/290301
