Reset Volume Control

Is there a way to reset the sliders in volume control?
It's the window that appears when you double click the audio icon in the task tray.

Can you not move them up or down? Are you referring to the default settings?

You can click options>properties and check or uncheck items in that window.

Yeh, I can move the sliders. I just want to know how to reset them to the default values.

Hi, there's a rather manual method of doing this..:)

Type in the Start Menu, Run... mmsys.cpl and/or control mmsys.cpl and/or control mmsys.cpl,,1 (to open Sounds and Audio Devices Properties, like from teh Control Panel).

So, then, click on (Speaker settings) Speaker Volume...

You can turn them both up full, then check Move all slide indicators at the same time and you will get the left/right balance equally adjusted. Optionally click on Restore Defaults & viola! :)

Or, I think, just go to Services and set Windows Audio to stop and disabled.

Reboot - enable and start, reboot.
