Windows installer keeps popping up.

Can any body help me?This windows installer window keeps popping up.
I went thru and was removing programs that I have not been using and
now this window keeps comming up.Bugging the heck out of us.
I went in and restored to a earlier time like to two days before I removed
the unused programs but that did not help.
Any tips?
Thanks Doug

Hi I was trying to do a screen shot but I can not figure out how to do it.
Can you explain to me how to do it.
If it would be to much trouble just let me know and I will do a search and
should be able to find out how to do it.
I was hoping I could copy and paste it but nope that would be to easy.
Thanks Doug and Elizabeth

Press Alt-PrintScreen, this will place an image of the frontmost window on the clipboard. Press PrintScreen by itself places an image of the entire desktop on the clipboard.
Open MS-Paint. (From Start/Run, issue the command "mspaint".) Create a new empty image, and use Edit/Paste to bring in the screenshot you just took.

Save the image to your Desktop, copy/paste into this thread

sounds like some hardware drivers are missing and needs to be installed can you check if there is any issue in the device manager [ Start > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > System > Hardware Device Manager ]

Also....if you leave the Windows Installer to finish its task without clicking cancel, it may prompt you to insert a disc or browse to install files for the particular software it needs...a screenshot of that may be helpful for working out what is needed :)

From MS Paint, you need to go:

File -> Save As -> choose name of image and select location to save the image.

Once done you can either upload the image to somewhere like imageshack:
http://imageshack.us/

They will host the image for free and then you can link the image location on their servers in your next post.

Or you can just add the saved image as an attachment in a post.

Hope that helps :)

Yep....

Click 'Post Reply' then type your message, scroll down a bit and click 'Manage Attachments'. Click 'Browse' and then go to your 'My Pictures' folder and double click the image. Then select 'Upload' and depending on how fast your internet is a few moments will pass. When it's done, click 'Close this window' and you will then be able to submit the message with the image attached.

Hope that helps....if not, PM me and then i'll give you instructions to email me the image and i'll put it in a post for you :)

Ok I get all the way to the upload part and I hit upload and It takes a minute and then it says upload failed.
When you say double click that would be a left click right?
When I click it starts the proccess with one click is that what it is soposta do?
It does nothing with a right click.
Thanks Doug and Elizabeth

Got your email, thank Doug...the problem was the file size, the image was over 2mb's and there's a 1.96mb limit on attachments. Anyway, I converted it to a jpeg and reduced the resolution to 58kb's.

The problem seems to relate to some missing files for Microsoft Office...was that one of the programs you uninstalled? If you still have your Office install disc, pop it in the cd tray and click OK on the Windows Installer box, if that doesn't work, browse to the cd and you should be able to find the 'mainsp3ff.msp' file it is looking for.

Hope that helps :)
