A couple of days ago my computer restarted itself and then changed my taks bar so that it looked like windows 98. So I tried to change it back in the theme section of desktop properties......well now almost all of the writing on my desktop/task bar/ everything is black (even when I right click on something for more info).
I have no idea what is going on or how to fix it because anytime I open almost everything I can't see what's happening. The strange part is however, that I can run games with no display problems. Please help me get my computer back! Thanks. Otaconsps |

Forgot to mention that I can see the background and all of the icons on the desktop....but for instance, when i hit f1 to try and do a system restore.....all of that is black except for the icons........
So I can't do anything because I can't see anything. |

Sounds like a virus, run a scan. After, do a repair install of XP using the XP disk
