Sapphire 5770 and Windows 7 problem
Hey guys, im new to this so ive tried my best to put this in the correct place,
The problem i'm having is playing any games on my computer, i bought and built it yesterday and everything installed fine, but as soon as i started left 4 dead/ borderlands the game would hang upon reaching the menu (left 4 dead got to the first 10 seconds of an online match). Im relatively tech savvy and have tried some of the basic fixes, ive even switched from x64 windows 7 to x86 windows 7, with university we get free registry codes from microsoft so everything is legit. Ive looked around and apparently theres afew problems however they seem to be varied so i have no idea what specifically is wrong with mine, i guess im asking for either an answer, or jsut peace of mind so my comp isnt botched. i tested the gpu temps and they were fine too. Heres my comp specs: AMD Phenom X4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz Socket AM3 8MB L3 Cache Retail Box Processor Asus M4A785TD-V EVO Socket AM3 onboard DVI VGA HDMI 8 channel audio ATX Motherboard Arctic Power 700W PSU - With PCI-E, 4x SATA, 20+4, ATX12V, 8pin +12V Connectors - Retail Boxed Crucial 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz/PC3-10600 Memory Kit CL9 1.5V Sapphire HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 Dual DVI, HDMI Display Port PCI-E Graphics Card and i have access to Windows x64 and x86 the case i have is pretty big so there is enough air and space getting to the card and i really cant figure out what is wrong ![]() does anyone have any idea what i can try or has anyone else had a simmilar problem? |
