Media Player 11+Vista stopped working

Vista home premium, all updates and sp's installed.

Trying to use Media Player V11. Has been working. Now get an error message (see uploaded screen shot) Trying to download and reinstall from MS downloads page. All I can find is an MS Update for Media player 11 for Vista which states this does not apply to my system. (see screen shots.) How can I get Media player reinstalled????

have you tried uninstalling media player and then reinstalling?
