Disk boot failure

Hi there.

I have just re-installed Vista on to my hard drive after having a lot of problems with it previously. During the install, I deleted the partition and created a new one.

Now I've got a problem when booting the pc up.

The following message appears everytime and I can't get any further, UNLESS the VIsta CD is in the drive, then it boots normally.

Disk boot failure. Insert System disk and press enter.

How can I solve this?

Thanks,

Craig

Re: Disk boot failure

Reinstall Vista, but first wipe the drive with KillDisk: www.killdisk.com

You need a blank CD/DVD and ISO burning software to run it. If you don't have the software, I recommend ImgBurn: www.imgburn.com

Burn the CD and noot the computer from it. Follow the on-screen instructions and wipe the drive clean, then attempt a new install. Let us know how it goes.

Good luck.
