Re: Converting from vista to windows 7

Hi

I think it is a good idea to upgrade to windows 7 because it is more stable and has more eye-candy ;)

BUT that's my opinion (I helped beta-test and use win7 Enterprise) and you should also use the Upgrade Advisor (witch you can find on the Microsoft website)

PS: Somebody Answer my thread about the netgear thing!!

If it's running Vista with no problems why change it?
You will not see a great performance lift with WINDOWS7

Actually I did get a bit of a performance boost (maybe from wiping my laptop) and I think Vista was a big Microsoft Fail. and I personally like allot of the new features because they'r just handy

Re: Converting from vista to windows 7

I think that you have the necessary resources to running Windows 7, and also I think that you should change Vista with Windows 7

Re: Converting from vista to windows 7

I guess it's a matter of opinion. As previously suggested run the upgrade advisor to check for any problems first.

Personally I upgraded from Vista to W7 at home then went back to Vista as my TV card wouldn't work under W7 and that is my killer feature, it has to work.

At work I run W7 enterprise and love it. I love new stuff but am also a big fan of "if it ain't broke, don't touch it"

Re: Converting from vista to windows 7

thanks guys, i agree with spongmonkey that "if it ain't broke, don't touch it"...im not having any problems with vista and until windows 7 came out i was very happy with the preformance i was getting, i'll wait until i have a problem with the computer then update to Win7.
