NTLDR is missing

I have a acer extensa 5420 running vista home premium. WHen i boot it up i got the error NTLDR is not found. HOwever I performed this fix is at:

But not the computer hangs at: boot0: done
I really need this computer this work please any help would be great

Re: NTLDR is missing

Boot from the CD, select Repair your computer, and open a command prompt as you did before and enter the following command: chkdsk /r /f. Let us know if you see that it finds any errors, but it may take a long time to complete.

Also, if you have time after that, run the command sfc /offwindir=C:\Windows.

If neither of those work, it looks like a corrupt file system or failed hard drive.
