xp capatiblilty drivers with windows 7

Hi,

I've just installed windows 7 on a friends computer, i didnt use the upgrade adviser so the incompatibility is my fault but on to the question. I installed windows 7 onto a LG LS50A laptop, i cant seem to find any updated drivers that are capatible with it, i only find xp drivers which will not install on 7.

The other annoying this is all the ports do not work, which was diagnosed by a tech who fixed the computer. So i have to burn everything to disk if i want to try to install it. Is it possible to find drivers which will support this laptop running on windows 7 or am i out of luck?

I've actually got some of them to work by making the setup run in windows XP service compatibility mode. The only anal thing is the ports not working, now this is a hardware fault and theres really not much i can do unless i attached a pcmcia card.

You can still run the Windows 7 Upgrade advisor - even under Windows 7 -
