Win 7 BSOD
My computer which I recently built, has been BSODing off and on for the past week. It usually happens when im playing games, be it WoW or whatever. I had to send in my last set of RAM because one of the sticks was dead and received a new set last week and thats when the problem started.
I've also been getting the 123 wow error, which I've read is related to memory somehow. And that didn't happen until I put the new RAM in either. So I've got a hunch its something to do with the memory.. again. Looking forward to responses. Specs; intel i7 920 evga gtx 275 6gig OCZ ddr3 ram 750 watt corsair psu evga x58 sli micro |

Re: Win 7 BSOD
Are you overclocking at all? It could be the VRAM on the graphics card as well.
Download and run MemTest86+: www.memtest86.com You need ISO burning software and a blank CD or DVD to run it. If you need the software, I recommend ImgBurn: www.imgburn.com Burn the CD and boot the computer from the disc. Let it run for seven passes, and report back with any errors. If it finds no errors, follow the instructions here: http://www.techsupportforum.com/1871981-post2.html Good luck to you. |

Re: Win 7 BSOD
No it's not overclocked. The only thing I've done to the RAM is set it to the speeds its clocked to.
I've already got memtest86 on a CD and I ran it on all 3 sticks before I did anything with the computer. I'll check out that link you left at the bottom, hopefully it works. |

Re: Win 7 BSOD
The link on the bottom is not a fix, it simply makes a bunch of files and provides us with more information about your computer and the errors.
Looking forward to getting the files

Re: Win 7 BSOD
There were no dump files found in the zip file. The batch script that you ran would have picked them up. Please check \windows\minidump for dump files.
Did you run the batch script at an elevated admin level (RIGHT-click, run as admin)? jcgriff2 . |

Re: Win 7 BSOD
Yes... that is a mini kernel memory dump.
Running it now. Did you do a clean install of Windows 7 RC or did you install it over Vista? |

Re: Win 7 BSOD
Hi -
Windows 7 beta version expired July 1, 2009. The bugcheck = 0x1a - severe memory management; NT listed as probable cause, but it is not. Look for an update - Razor mouse - Code:
copperhd.sys Tue May 23 20:51:13 2006 (4473D831) Regards. . . jcgriff2 . |

Re: Win 7 BSOD
Glad to hear that.
I cited the mouse drivers simply b/c of their age. I did not find any conclusive evidence linking the mouse to the 0x1a BSOD. I have seen in the past where similar HID devices have caused memory management bugcheck BSODs. |
