Vista and FTP problem
Hi all
I am getting the strangest problem with FTP on my Windows Vista. It has been getting worse and worse and now has reached unbearable levels. When I upload files via FTP (i've tried a few different ftp clients) to my server they upload in full then turns to zero bytes. This only happens randomly, not all files, though it does seem to have its moments where it happens more often than not. I can not work this out. It only happens from 1 source PC. so I figure it can't be the server. Other PCs from the same internal network (and external) don't have the same problem. The source PC has CA Security Center - and I have DISABLED the firewall and put the anti virus to sleep - and still the problem persists. Problem doesn't (yet - touch wood) happen when I download files from the same FTP server. I am running out of ideas - and hair! Please help. ************* Other info. Using Filezilla and Dreamweaver CS4 for FTP - and problem, happens with both. Though never did happen before with same software on my old XP machine. Re: Vista and FTP problem
I'd suggest uninstalling the CA Security Center rather than disabling it. The features may tend to load things even though the program is disabled.
