Gateway Laptop: CD Drive Problem?

Hello everyone I need a little help with this issue I've been having recently. I have a gateway windows vista laptop that I bought in July or August this summer. Everything works fine on it, except recently when I put in music CDs to load onto my itunes for my ipod, nothing happens. I put in the music CD and the computer makes noises like the CD is loading, and a small picture of a CD shows up near my pointer for a few seconds but then it ends. No auto-run pops up and if I go into My Computer it doesn't show up. This wasn't always a problem. When I first got the laptop my CD's worked fine on it.

Does anyone know what I should do? Thanks.

Thanks! I tried that and it went through a whole process but then it told me that it couldn't fix one problem. So nothing changed really. Thanks though.
