logging off my username

hi iam having a problem logging off my user name it now takes a good 10 min where as before it was done in about 30 seconds,when i do manage to log off and then re log on i get a box with says failed to connect to a window service could not connect to the system event notification service service
iam running windows vista 3 gb ram service pack 2 twin core can anybody help i have done a system restore but its still the same

Hi Andrew -

Do other user accounts exhibit the same logoff behavior?
Do you have another user account to try?

How is the account when logging on...any slowness?

i when i log on its normal no delay very quick other accounts same as mine when logging off when i log off i have noticed this message in a box
error in C/windows/system 32 NVCPL.DLL missing entry NVsession startup
