Vista SP2 update, now bluetooth gone
Hey TSF.
Last week Windows Update downloaded Vista 64-bit SP2 update. I installed it, everything went fine until after the restart and boot-up. I went to do something, anything, and my mouse and keyboard would not work! My mouse and keyboard are from the Logitech 5000 series of wireless hardware that connect through a bluetooth dongle via USB port. So, I pretty much couldn't do anything but stare at my desktop or shut down my computer via case. I looked online, found an alleged fix for this here. I borrowed somebody's usb mouse, system restored, and installed this before trying this week to install SP2 again, but that didn't help at all. The computer I'm using is a desktop, so I can't really do anything once I upgrade to SP2. Again, I'm running Vista 64-bit SP1 using a custom built computer (only 1.5y old), all parts are compatible afaik. Any help resolving this issue is greatly appreciated! |
