mouse problems

hi about a week ago i got some spyware on my pc whilst running windows vista 64 and my mouse pointer kept freezing and it slowly got worse so i reformated and put back on windows vista and it worked fine for a day then the mouse pointer started to freez again and started getting worse. so last night i reformated again and put on windows 7 64 it worked fine for about an hour then yet again the mouse pointer started to freeze and is getting worse again.only thing that makes me think its not a problem with the mouse is cause when i install the windows program the mouse never freezes if any1 could help that would be great thanx.

Re: mouse problems

Is it a wireless mouse? Perhaps the batteries are low. If it's not, have you tried a different mouse? Have you tried your mouse with a USB/PS2 adapter? Normally they come with USB mice and they are a small green adapter that goes between the mouse and the computer.
