network cable unplugged error
i have installed windows vista home premium,when the os is up and running the dsl broadband connection is not getting connected.the loacl area connection shows"network cable unplugged". how do i configure my system to connect to the internet.the ethernet card is fine with ubuntu live(gets connected to the internet).

Give this a try.
The cable modem I have does the same thing if I plug a different computer in to it and it may see the Ubuntu system as different. In my case I unplug the power to the modem and remove the battery from it for 5 seconds. Then turn it on again and all is good. I hope this helps you out. |
