Taskbar,icons and desktop doesn't respond

Well I am having problems with no respons from my OS (Windows 7 64 bit) when i click on the desktop/taskbar and on the icons, sometimes it responds sometimes it do not! I have reinstalled my OS but still having issues. Maybe it might be something with my hardware? I just recently tried to remove some of my ram without any luck, I have tried to test it out with a new mouse but still have the same problem the weird thing is that when i play games it works like a charm, So I have no clue what to do... So hopefully someone here can assist me

Halvor

My specs are Evga 780 i ftw, 8 gig ram 800 mhz, 3 gtx 280's quad core 9650 3 ghz no OC and 1000 watt PSU

Please check the Action Center in Control Panel for issues with the system.

Please go to Start and type in "msinfo32" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Save the report as an .NFO file, zip it up and upload/attach the .zip file to your next post.

Re: Taskbar, icons and desktop doesn't respond

Sorry, but there's not much info in the file. I suspect the file pr.exe (Project Reality?), but don't have enough info to be sure. Try uninstalling that program to see if it helps.

Beyond that, try opening up Task Manager to the Processes tab.
Then click on the View menu item, then on Select Columns.
In the window that opens, place check marks next to I/O Reads and I/O Other
Click OK to return to Task Manager.
Click on the "Show processes from all users" button.
Then resize the Window so that you can see the maximum number of processes and columns. Double click on the I/O Reads column header to sort by that column.

Then wait for the freeze and see what Image Names have abnormally high readings in any of the columns.

BTW - My system shows 1.73 gB of RAM being used at "idle". Check the Memory figures in the Processes tab of Task Manager to see what's using that memory.
