fix time date stamp on temp files

Using VISTA, why is the time and sometimes the date incorrect on the temp file log. How do you fix it? the laptop clock is correct, the comuter is dell vista laptop, ...whne I did a file recovery I noticed that many files were "accessed" on a hour time delay, say I was on internet at 9pm, it lists it as 12am. I checked many other days and this problem was everywhere. why and how to fix. thanks

Re: fix time date stamp on temp files

What/ where is the "temp log file"?

Are you sure that you are looking at "last access" date vs. modified, or other dates?

Please post that log.

Re: fix time date stamp on temp files

yes, the dates of first and last access are the same, its really weird, I will try to copy and post. the "log" was actually a file recovery program that brought up everything as recovered. the weird thing is that the files are correct but the time is off completely.
And it was on a dial up internet and even the dial up log was incorrect. I was the one on the internet and I know when I was there and I know it was not right on this recovery log OR the internet connection log from the dial up server. its just odd and I wondered if I was somehow going into a different time zone but that didnt make sense. trust me this is a bona fide issue, I am fairly computer savvy and cant figure this out. I am in eastern standard time and it posts things 3 hours AHEAD....?thanks
