Re: Blue Screen Error on Vista

Hi again,

i did test with windows memory diagnostic tool. After the test result it gives error : Your computer has memory problem.

After, I put my 2x2gb ram in different ram slots and did memory diagnostic tool test again.. test results are ok. no problem.
( i am gonna write here if i will get blue screen error again, for now everything is ok. )

But now i am confused. When i put my rams in old slots, memory diagnostic tool test gives error again. Is this a motherboard problem? If yes, Will my rams gonna damage again on my new ram slots ?

Thank you

UPDATE :

Okay. I Left my computer open yesterday to see if i will gonna get bluescreen error again. Unfortunetly it happened again :( When i see my screen, already restarted because of bluescreen again. I updated my motherboard drivers and did memory diagnostic tool test again. Again no problem detected but why am i getting this error if i have not got memory problem??

Re: Blue Screen Error on Vista

Hi -

Please go to \windows folder and look for gdrv.sys
Place the mouse over it -- any description on it?

RIGHT-click on the icon, select Properties tab - what is in the description? Manufacturer?

It is a Gigabit Ethernet driver and could be part of Vista's legacy drivers or just an outdated one. It should not be in the \windows folder -
Code:
 13.10.2007 16:22:00 \??\C:\Windows\gdrv.sys
`

I suggest that you run memtest86+ -- several passes, 1 stick at a time, alternate slots

MemTest86 is compatible with any system. It doesn't run from the operating system, you need to burn it to a disc.

Download MemTest86 if you haven't yet: www.memtest86.com

You need a blank CD/DVD and ISO burning software, available here: www.imgburn.com

Burn it to a blank CD or DVD and boot the system from it.
